Bio - Elspeth qualified as a solicitor in 1971, served her apprenticeship and PQ year with Wright Jonston & Mackenzie in Glasgow and then was employed by Cuthbert & Hogg in Fort William. When relocating to Dunoon she became a partner at Kenneth W Pendreich and Co before setting up Elspeth Black and Co in 1987 and merged with ‘Corrigall, Ritchie and MacLean’ in 1998 to become the present firm ‘Corrigall Black’.
For many years she was accredited as a Child Law Specialist, with an expensive practice in that area, and now concentrates on residential conveyancing, executries and private client matters. She also served as an Honorary Sheriff.
She is a keen member of the local Rotary Club. and is head coach of the local swimming club, an activity that not only fosters a love for the sport but also allows her to connect with younger generations.
As a grandmother, Elspeth enjoys family life.

Mike is a seasoned estate agent with an impressive track record within the property market, specializing in selling properties in the local area. Joining Corrigall Black in 2018, he quickly established himself as a reliable and knowledgeable professional, earning the trust of countless satisfied clients. Beyond his passion for real estate, Mike is a devoted family man with a young and growing family. In his spare time, you can find him coaching and cheering Dunoon's up and coming football stars. His dedication to both his profession and personal life makes him a well-rounded and approachable agent, ready to guide clients through their estate endeavors with expertise and care.

Job Title – Legal Secretary

Nicola, a local and experienced conveyancing secretary, joined the firm in 2000 as a court typist before swiftly transitioning to the conveyancing department, where she excels. Her expertise in registration and sale/purchase processes ensures smooth operations in the department. Outside of work, Nicola is an enthusiastic and skilled member of the local bowling fraternity. She also loves exploring new places with her family, making unforgettable memories together.

Job Title – Trainee Paralegal

Sarah joined the firm in 2023 as a receptionist having chosen to settle with her family in Dunoon. Previous to her relocation to the local area she worked in Law Firms based in the UAE as an office manager and a legal Secretary in London. She quickly developed an interest in Executry and Private Client matters seeking a change in career path to become an executry paralegal studying alongside working part-time. In her free time Sarah enjoys spending time with her family including her much loved dogs or doing the gardening.

Sophie joined the team in June 2026 seeking a role to work around family life.
